How are dual fabric blinds different from zebra blinds?
Zebra blinds adjust light with alternating sheer and woven bands. A dual cassette adds a second, independently controlled shade. The pairing shown here combines a zebra shade in front with a blackout roller behind.
Can I pair a lighter fabric with a blackout fabric?
Yes. Pair a sunscreen or light-filtering fabric for daytime use with a blackout fabric for a darker room. Each shade operates independently, so you can use either layer or both together.
Will a blackout layer make the room completely dark?
Blackout fabric blocks light through the material, but light can still enter around the sides of the blind. Mounting position, the window and the finished fit all affect the result.
Does a dual cassette need more space?
